BSO Banner
Welcome to the second part of my story.
The BSO comity liked my poster and wanted to use it for a banner instead.
Thus the transition from poster to banner begins. As a designer with a specific size requirements I need the proper dimensions.

I wanted to keep the free flowing vibe from the poster to the banner. Since some of the notes have a long stem, I combined the typography and symbols to build structure.

Achieving the proper balance of illustration to typography was going to be my next challenge.
This was a true challenge for me as I kept playing with different styles to find the match.

This was my end product but there was still something missing that I couldn’t put my finger on.
But with the teamwork of me and my teacher at the time Robert Bredemeier we were able to achieve the balance of illustration and typography.

I hope you have enjoyed this mini journey with me and the Beaverton Symphony Orchestra.
This button will send you to one of my designs.
